Pretty rose pattern

This small collection of counted patterns contains two floral designs and a colorful border, all re-charted from antique, hand painted originals.

The little rose posy is a self-continuing design and can be stitched to any desired length/ width. It is perfectly suitable for upholstery, footstools or cushions covers.

Beautiful cross stitch chart, adapted from an antique printed pattern.

The original pattern was rather dull, so I had to modify the color scheme to give the pattern more grace and character.

The briar roses and fuchsia border is charted from an antique hand painted French pattern from Sajou.

Lovely little pattern re-charted from an original hand painted Sajou chart. (Dated 1855)

A perfect repetitive pattern for cushion covers, or simply use the little blooms to make beautiful cards,and other ornaments.

Daisies, fuchsias and rose buds. Garden blooms 2 is a delightful repetitive pattern suitable for cushion or furniture cover, while the individual motifs can be stitched and used to decorate cards, clothes, or added to a spot sampler.

The original is dated 1845, and would have been a supplement to a ladies magazine of the time.

It is signed ‘Sajou’ in lovely flourish beneath the picture.

Fruits and florals

From an original hand painted Berlin woolwork chart.

This old chart has not only the signature from the artist who painted it in Berlin, but also a stamp from the company that imported the first charts to London. Wilks.186 Regent st

In remarkable condition, and with very little missing paint this chart was a challenge to digitalize, and will be a stunning piece for the patient embroiderer.

This large, and colorful pattern can be used for cushion, carpets, or each frames used individually.
